Naberezhnaya Towers and Eurasia Tower
Naberezhnaya Towers (Block C) and Eurasia Tower, built by ENKA, are the only multi-storey steel carrier system business centers in the Russian Federation. Eurasia Tower, reaching 310 meters with 74 aboveground and 5 underground floors, is among the tallest buildings in Europe.
Project Highlights
- ▸During the foundation phase, over 10,000 m³ of concrete was poured uninterruptedly for 72 hours.
- ▸One piece of heavy equipment weighing 55 tons was lifted to the upper floors of the building.
- ▸More than 56 tons of electrodes were used in on-site welding operations.
- ▸The thickest steel plate used in column bases is 400 mm.
- ▸The largest box column section is 750 × 750 mm with a wall thickness of 230 mm.
- ▸The torque capacity of each bolt used in the field was checked and tested one by one.
- ▸Despite strong winds and winter conditions of up to -40 °C, the installation of steel columns continued above 200 m height (50th floor).
Engineering Details
3,000 mm thick, 10,000 m³ volume raft foundation under the tower; It rests on 1,500 mm diameter bored piles going down to a depth of 25 m and 1,200 mm diameter bored piles going down to a depth of 18 m.
Hot-rolled profiles and sheets used in steel construction were transported to Moscow by river ships.
The reinforced concrete core was constructed with a self-climbing slipform system throughout the building.
